Cybersecurity Risk Assessment – Health Care Provider

Project Details

A leading healthcare provider recognized the critical importance of safeguarding patient information and ensuring the integrity of their IT systems. They sought an independent cybersecurity risk assessment to validate their cybersecurity efforts, report accurately to their board, and meet the stringent requirements of their cybersecurity insurance. The necessity for this assessment arose from the increasing cyber threats targeting the healthcare sector and the provider’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data security and compliance.

The project involved an in-depth audit of the provider’s entire IT infrastructure, including a thorough review of their governance, policies, and procedures. The assessment aimed to provide concrete evidence of the execution of their cybersecurity strategy. The outcome of this comprehensive project was significant; it identified several gaps within the current IT environment and governance framework. The healthcare provider promptly addressed and remediated all the findings. A final report was presented to the board, detailing the findings, the gaps identified, and the completed remediations. As a result, the insurance company maintained their current insurance rates, acknowledging the provider’s proactive measures in strengthening their cybersecurity posture.
