Vulnerability Response – Business Events Organization

Project Details

Our client, a prominent player in the business events industry, faced a critical situation when their systems were compromised by a ransomware attack. All systems, including the critical VMWare infrastructure, were encrypted, rendering their operations at a standstill. The in-house IT team lacked the necessary expertise to address the ransomware attack, and the original reseller also found themselves out of depth with the situation. Compounding the urgency was the fact that all building management and security systems were dependent on VXRail, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

In response to this crisis, our team embarked on a comprehensive recovery project. We performed a complete recovery of the VXRail system as well as the virtual machine workloads, ensuring that the core infrastructure was back online within one week. Additionally, we restructured the entire network, encompassing all Cisco switches, to fortify against future vulnerabilities. The outcome was a full restoration of all building management and security systems from backups, enabling the client to resume their operations seamlessly and with renewed confidence in their IT resilience.

Project Summary

Complete recovery of the VXRail and the virtual machine
workloads. Project to restructure all the network Cisco switches. Recovery
within 1 week of the core infrastructure.
