When we think about disaster recovery we think of backups. The problem with backups is that we manage them by exception. So as long as we don’t get an error, we assume that everything is working fine. And that is what the bad guys are counting on. That you are not looking. It is important to have regular checking of your backups to make sure they are still working and have not been tampered with. This can be augmented with automation, with continuous testing, which would put you at the gold standard. At the speed that we are generating data, is there a business case to do your backups more often than 24 hours? For most organizations, that is a yes as the cost of lost data within a day may be enormous. Join us for this session to discuss these points as well as air gap solutions and backing up cloud assets.
